Resident Evil 7: The Experience coming to London on January 20th

Capcom will be holding a four-day interactive experience to celebrate the launch of Resident Evil 7, the company announced today.

Taking place between January 20th – 23rd in a haunted and dilapidated venue in East London, Resident Evil 7: The Experience will see members of the public take part in an immersive horror story inspired by the events of the game.

Playing the role of investigate journalist interns, experience-goers will have to solve puzzles and seek out clues as they help a paranormal TV production team investigate the disappearance of various crew members who never returned from the venue. They’ll need to work together to solve the mystery and escape unscathed by unexpected interruptions.”

The Experience lasts for 45 minutes and is completely free to enter, but entry will be on a strictly first-come, first-served basis and is limited to two people per slot. Head over to Capcom’s Resident Evil 7: The Experience website to sign up for a chance to win. For those that do manage to score a slot, attendees will also be able to play a demo version of Resident Evil 7 afterwards ahead of the game’s launch on January 24th.

For anyone who has ever wanted to enter the world of Resident Evil, now is your chance!” Capcom’s PR manager Laura Skelly said in a statement.

We wanted to give fans a little glimpse into the Resident Evil 7: Biohazard gameplay, bringing it to life and allowing people to interact with the game in a brand-new way, and perhaps even having a chance encounter with some of the game’s characters. Playing on the idea of survival horror, we are really excited to see who will be able to escape the experience when it opens its doors to the public later this month.”

Resident Evil 7’s producer Masachika Kawata added: I’m extremely excited to see Resident Evil 7: Biohazard come to life through this Experience, and for participants to get a little taster of what is to come in the game.”
