Development veteran Charles Cecil is to serve as executive producer on Pewter Games’ The Little Acre.
Cecil, who co-founded Broken Sword studio Revolution Software, will help the Greenlit title on its journey to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
In addition, Pewter has signed a deal with publisher Curve Digital to publish the game upon its release later this year.
The Little Acre is described as merging the animated style of All Dogs Go To Heaven director Don Bluth with the “magical wonder” of Studio Ghibli icon Hayao Miyazaki in its 1950s tale of a man and his daughter attempting to find his missing father in a “strange new world populated by bizarre creatures”.
“When I first saw The Little Acre, I was blown away by the game’s beauty and attention to detail,” Cecil said.
"I was delighted to discover how much of an influence Broken Sword had had on The Little Acre and was enormously flattered when Chris and Ben asked me to act as executive producer.”
