Riot removes LAS casters from All Star cast after racist comment

This past weekend saw the annual League of Legends All Star event take place. Players from each of the major regions headed to Barcelona to fight for regional pride and for their team of Ice or Fire.

But it wasn’t all smooth sailing. During segment discussing the performance of Bae "Bengi" Seong-woong both Diego "Vendetta" Ramirez and Bastian Guzman who were casting the competition used racist terms. This caused a lot of backlash, as racism is never cool, and as a result were removed from the broadcast for the rest of the event.

"We’d like to apologize for the comments made on the LAS broadcast earlier today," said LAS broadcast manager, "Catador" on Reddit. "We’re extremely disappointed in the behavior of those two casters, and have removed them from the remainder of the broadcast. This kind of language is unacceptable, and we apologize to all of our fans, players, and teams."
