Batman: Arkham City, the highly anticipated sequel to London-based Rocksteady Studios’ 2009 hit Arkham Asylum, will be coming out on the newly announced Wii U.
The reveal was part of a promo video at the Nintendo E3 press conference that saw the new Nintendo console revealed for the first time.
Nintendo global president Satoru Iwata said that the new machine “will provide deeper gameplay than the most experienced gamer is used to, and wider experiences than even the Wii.”
Other third-party games that were confirmed as in-development for the new console were Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed and Ghost Recon, Tecmo Koei’s Ninja Gaiden 3, THQ’s Darksiders II and Metro: Last Light, Namco’s Tekken and Sega’s Aliens: Colonial Marines.
