DeNA, the Japanese mobile portal and gaming company, could be seeking to buy the San Fransico-based social games developer ngmoco, according to multiple TechCrunch sources.
One source has even named a figure of upwards of $400m as being considered for the deal. This number has been speculated to include a large earnout.
It has been a busy period for ngmoco, having recently raised a venture round from Google Ventures and declared a serious intention to start developing for the Android platform.
DeNA has been investing heavily in the mobile and social games industries, buying California-based studio Gameview and investing in Astro Ape in September.
