Rumour: Bioshock Infinite DLC will include new AI companion

The first BioShock Infinite DLC could include a new AI companion character, according to a 2K Games animator’s LinkedIn profile.

Spotted by Superannuation, 2K senior animator Michael Shahan’s profile lists ‘BioShock Infinite DLC1,’ with animation and research & development for a new companion character” mentioned under the experience point.

It’s unclear whether the new character would replace the current Elizabeth AI companion, or if it would just join the party.

A season pass for BioShock Infinite is currently available for $19.99 and grants buyers access to three upcoming content packs – content that has yet to be officially revealed. Still, features including new plot branches in the story, weapons, and skills have been teased by the company as potential DLC material.

BioShock Infinite launched for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC late last month.
