Russian football club FC Anzhi Makhachkala starts eSports division, signs XBOCT

Russian football club FC Anzhi Makhachkala have announced a new signing, in the form of Dota 2 player Alexander “XBOCT” Dashkevich.

XBOCT is one of the best players ever from the CIS region, being a part of the NaVi team that was considered the best in the world for many months. However since leaving NaVi he has not been able to find a stable roster and has even moved into casting work at times.

However this new move should revitalise his career as FC Anzhi Makhachkala are looking to sign a Dota 2 team with XBOCT as the team captain. There is no word on the players that will be joining him, but with a ton of financial backing and a big name like XBOCT then finding a decent team should not be an issue.

Reports coming out of Russia indicate that FC Anzhi Makhachkala eSports division could become one of the biggest in the region, as the club has committed millions to investing in eSports.
