Game developer Sidhe is brining its mobile games to Google’s Android OS, following its success on the testing grounds of Apple’s App Store.
The company’s mobile publishing and development business, called PikPok, has ported a range of iPhone games to Google’s open source platform.
The first title, Flick Kick Field Goal, is now available on the app store, with Flick Kick Rugby and Flick Kick Football following soon.
Sidhe has also struck an agreement with OpenFeint, a mobile social platform of similar concept to Xbox Live and PSN.
With OpenFeint enabled, players can post high scores and unlock achievements, in return for viewing ad space that promotes other games.
“We have had a great partnership with OpenFeint for our iPhone titles and our move into supporting Android is much easier with such a great partner that delivers community and replayability features to our line-up,” said Jos Ruffell, manager of the PikPok label.
“The Flick Kick family of games is perfect for Android’s sophisticated audience that demands quality and fun from their apps.”
