Nordic Game Program give away 3m Danish kroners in first round of industry grants

Six Nordic projects gain support grants

Six upcoming projects from Nordic studios received grants from the Nordic Game Program during the first round of their annual financial aid process, held at Nordic Game 2010 in Malmö, Sweden.

Beneficiaries were Finland’s Rocket Pack Ltd, receiving DKK 600,000 for casual title “Cats vs. Dogs”; Also Finland-based Prodigium Game Studios, receiving DKK 550,000 for “Floorball League (FBL)”; Denmark’s Tactile Entertainment, receiving DKK 500,000 for licensed title “The Wolf in the Iron Forest”; Also Denmark-based Press Play, receiving DKK 500,000 arcade platformer “Tentacle Terror”; Danish studio ZAXIS, receiving DKK 400,000 for puzzle-based “You’ve Got Snail”; and finally Sweden’s Toltec Studios, receiving DKK 250,000 for puzzler “The Ball”.

The application deadline for the second 2010 round of support will be midnight on September 1.
