Total global sales of the PS4 console have now reached more than 60.4m units”.
That number is accurate as of June 11th 2017. PS4 software sales have hit 487.8m, again as of the same date. This includes both physical copies sold at retail and digital purchases made through PSN.
Sony added that PSN now has more than 70m monthly active users as of the end of March, and that 26.4m of those pay for a PlayStation Plus subscription.

The news comes on the back of what was a relatively quiet E3 for Sony. Its rival Microsoft used the event to showcase its new 450 Xbox One X, an upgraded version of its existing console that, specification-wise, is the most powerful console on the planet.
The 60m PS4 sales figure was predicted by SuperData back in April. In the same report it estimated 33m total global sales for the Xbox One. IHS, meanwhile, has since predicted that the Xbox One X will do little to swing momentum back in Microsoft’s favour outside of the US.
