Following its PlayStation Network online service being down yesterday, Sony has said it will be compensating gamers.
In a tweet on its official Twitter account (below), the platform holder said that we should ‘stay tuned for details on PS Plus, PS Now, and video rental extensions’.
This can be taken to mean that PlayStation Plus subscriptions, as well as rental times on PlayStation Now and Video will be lengthened to make up for the service outage.
PlayStation Network was down for several hours starting last night, before service was restored at around 5am this morning. Users were unable to access the PlayStation Store via PS4, PS3 or PS Vita, and were shut out of other online services.
Sony is yet to give a reason for the disruption.
This isn’t the only recent outage on PlayStation Network. During Black Friday the online service caved due to the sheer number of consumers.
