Early sales data shows there's a big potential market for PlayStation 4 Pro ports.

Sony sell 65,194 PlayStation 4 Pro consoles in Japan in opening 4 days

According to a report from Famitsu, Sony have sold 65,194 units of their PlayStation 4 Pro console in its opening 4 days of availability in Japan. The full family of PlayStation 4 consoles sold 93,512 in the same timeframe.

You can read the details in native Japanese over on Famitsu, which reported the figure. This chart shows the details of sales of the PlayStation consoles, although it should be noted that prior to the release of the PS4 Slim, Japan had a shortage of PlayStation 4 stock for several weeks so this data is almost certainly boosted by the fact you couldn’t get hold of a PlayStation 4 in Japan for a short while before the launch.

It’ll be a big boost to Sony though, with titles like The Last Guardian, Final Fantasy XV and Yakuza 6 emerging in the run up the end of the year to tempt consumers we could see plenty more big sales weeks for the consoles as we cruise towards the end of 2016.
