Sony’s Resistance crumbles as IP seemingly comes to an end

It seems as if time may have been called on the Resistance series.

Speaking to Official PlayStation Magazine, SCEE’s online producer Daniel Brooke stated that: The Resistance franchise has been exciting to work on but as for the future we have nodefinitiveplans.”

The Resistance IP began with Insomniac Games’ PS3 launch title Resistance: Fall of Man. This was followed by a sequel, Resistance 2, in 2008 and then PSP title Resistance: Retribution in 2009.

The third PS3 game was released last year and earlier this year the IP made its Vita debut with Resistance: Burning Skies.

Insomniac revealed in January that it did not intend to develop any further titles in the series.
