Soon you’ll be able to stuff a Pikachu at Build-A-Bear stores

The Pokemon Company has announced that its mascot Pikachu will be added to the licensed collection of toys available at Build-A-bear Workshop.

The character will be launched in early 2016 across Europe, North America and Australia. Those who choose to stuff their own Pikachu either in-store or online will also get a Build-A-Bear branded Pokemon trading card.

A Poke Ball hoodie and Charizard costume will be among the optional custom adornments along with a Pokemon sound chip.

Pokemon and Build-A-Bear Workshop both create memorable experiences for fans of all ages,” The Pokemon Company International’s director of licensing Monika Salazar said. We are delighted to partner with a brand like Build-A-Bear Workshop that represents fun and friendship.”

Pokemon joins a long list of licensed Build-A-Bear partners that currently includes Star Wars, the Minions, The Avengers, My Little Pony, Peppa Pig and Frozen.
