Birmingham-based studio Soshi Games has secured £315,000 in investment from its latest funding round.
Creative England, Midven, Finance Birmingham and other private investors led the investment, bringing the total money raised by the studio since it was founded in 2010 to £1.1 million.
Soshi, which develops festival management game Musical Festivals, will use the investment to create four new mobile and tablet music-themed games.
New titles include quiz game Clue The Music, which is currently being tested on the New Zealand App Store.

“We’re gamifying the music industry. There is such a close connection between games, handheld devices and music consumption and we’ve brought together the best of these to create a new business model,” said Soshi Games CEO Cliff Dennett.
“Our games enable popular acts to engage with their fan bases and earn money at the same time, but our aim is actually to launch a brand new artist globally through one of our games.”
