Steam’s In-Home Streaming feature is out of beta and now available for all users of the PC platform, Valve has announced.
In a news post on its site, Valve explains the computer-to-computer streaming component can be accessed by logging on to Steam on two computers over the same network. The machines will automatically connect, allowing users to remotely install, launch and play games as though they were sitting at the remote PC.
The service sends video and audio through the user’s home network from the preferred gaming PC to another device in their home. Mouse, keyboard and controller input is sent back to the remote computer from there.
Valve debuted In-Home Streaming in beta late last year.
