Stringer: PS3 beat Xbox over Christmas

A confident Sony chief executive Howard Stringer told

on Friday: PS3 has now gone past Xbox on the Christmas market. It’s moving into its own as it gets into higher bandwidth … PS3 is out of the woods and beginning to hold its own.”

His comments echo those of SCEE presdient and CEO David Reeves, who told MCV last week that PS3 was already ahead of Xbox 360 in some European territories, and should overtake the Microsoft console across the PAL territories by the end of summer.
