Tandem Events has opened the call for submissions for this year’s Indie Showcase at Develop: Brighton.
The free-to-enter event is an exhibition of ten most promising independent games, which will be on display during Develop: Brighton in July. The chosen games will potentially reach an audience of 1,800 developers and publishers.
Ten finalists will be chosen out of all submissions by a panel of experts, chaired by Adam Green of Assyria Games. Finalists will also receive two free Indie Dev Day conference passes, five Expo passes, pre-event publicity and a profile on Develop: Brighton’s website.
The deadline for entry is Monday, May 11th, and the application forms can be found on www.developconference.com.
The showcase is only open to non-publisher funded studios with 15 people or less. Games must have a development budget of less than £1m, and must not be published by a third part at the time of submission.
Tandem Events MD Andy Lane said: “The quality of the games submitted to the Develop Indie Showcase last year was nothing short of astounding, and it’s great to see so many previous winners going onto both commercial and critical success.
Green added: “The showcase is now in its fifth year and continues to be a fantastic opportunity for indie developers to get their games in front of publishers, the gaming press and their fellow peers.”
Develop: Brighton runs from Tuesday, July 14th to Thursday, July 16th. The Develop Awards will run alongside on Wednesday, July 15th – and you only have one day left to nominate.
