Super Smash Bros 3DS players hit with 136-year online ban

71,582,030 minutes – that’s the length of an online ban being sent out to some players of Super Smash Bros on 3DS.

A handful of Reddit users have received the – presumably erroneous – ban as punishment for what the platform holder has deemed to be overtly aggressive targeting of a specific player in an online multiplayer match.

Eurogamer reports that in the past these bans have typically lasted for around 15 minutes, so either these current bans are being sent in error or else Nintendo had decided to REALLY clamp down on this stuff.

Nintendo hasn’t yet responded to the reports but expect all to be fine once it takes notice.
