The Assembly will be a launch game for Oculus Rift, Project Morpheus and HTC Vive

VR developer and publisher nDreams has unveiled a game that it says it will be a launch title for the big three upcoming virtual reality headsets.

The Assembly, which has been rebuilt with Unreal Engine 4, aims to be a launch title for not only Facebook’s Oculus Rift but also Sony’s Project Morpheus and Valve’s HTC Vive.

The game has been designed specifically for VR. It sees players investigating a secret group described as a mysterious organisation that has been experimenting outside the constraints of government scrutiny and society’s morals”.

The game has apparently been significantly reworked since its unveiling at E3 last year. nDreams’ team includes Wonderbook: Book of Spells’ lead writer and voice director Rob Morgan, who also worked on Sony’s The Deep VR demo.

Over the last year, we have moved The Assembly to Unreal Engine 4 and continued to enhance every aspect of the game, from its graphical fidelity to the scope and scale of its gameplay and narrative” nDreams CEO Patrick O’Luanaigh said.

We can’t wait for the world’s media to get their hands on The Assembly in its new and improved form at this year’s E3.”

nDreams earlier this year revealed that it had secured 1.75m worth of investment.
