There’s a Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain strategy guide on the way

Players looking to explore every nook and cranny of the biggest game in the Metal Gear Solid series yet will be able to get a helping hand.

That’s thanks to Piggyback Interactive, which has teamed up with Konami to release an official strategy guide to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Piggyback will be a familiar name to Metal Gear diehards, as the company has every Metal Gear Solid guide to date over the last 15 years.

Two versions of the Phantom Pain guide will be launched alongside the game on September 1st: a standard paperback SKU, costing 14.99, accompanied by a hardback collector’s version with a price tag of 19.99.

The collectable book will be limited edition, and will include an exclusive lithograph bylong-time series artist YojiShinkawa, as well as an ‘art gallery’.

Konami says that the information on offer will be fully comprehensive, helping players achieve 100 per cent completion.

Among the elements contained in the book is a map-based walkthrough, supplemented by various annotated screenshots. Guides to missions, side quests, secrets and collectibles will also be spread throughout – including advice on how to get every trophy/achievement.

Somewhat thankfully, as even seasoned Metal Gear players will sympathise with, Piggyback’s guide also includes an ‘extensive’ story re-cap.
