Tiga’s model contract is included with the Entertainment Law Handbook published by Law
Society Publishing.
Scheurer, company secretary of Tiga, has put together the Entertainment Law section of the handbook. He explained: “The addition of a section on video games in a book for entertainment lawyers reflects the increasing importance of the video games industry in the wider entertainment spectrum. The video games industry is simply no longer the poor relation of the music and film industries.”
Fred Hasson, Tiga CEO added: “The publication of the Tiga model contract in such an important work is an important milestone in Tiga’s project to develop business neutral model contracts. By reducing the time and cost of negotiating and concluding game development contracts, this project should result in substantial savings to games developers and publishers alike.
