Treyarch: Call of Duty’s PlayStation partnership won’t harm the Xbox game

Call of Duty is now in camp PlayStation, but developer Treyarch insists Xbox fans should not worry.

Speaking after the announcement that PlayStation will be getting temporarily exclusive multiplayer maps – plus an exclusive Beta – Treyarch multiplayer lead Dan Bunting says that such news has helped generate some serious attention for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

Everybody seems to be talking about it,” he told MCV. I guess it’s big news. There’s a lot for people to talk about here and this is something buzzworthy.”

He added: But from a development perspective, it really doesn’t make a difference. It’s a great partnership. We’ve worked with Sony for years and Microsoft for years, and we are excited about the partnership and what it means. But from a development day-to-day perspective, we make games for our fans and it doesn’t matter what platform they are on, we will make the best experience we can.

The fans have to have faith for us that we will deliver on all platforms.”
