TyLoo to miss ELEAGUE due to denial of visas

Chinese Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team TyLoo will not be attending ELEAGUE as the team has failed to secure US visas for its players.

The Daily Dot first reported that the team had failed on its first attempt to get an American visa, as tournament organiser Turner failed to give the players a letter stating they would be playing in the $1.4 million competition. This resulted in the team having to choose between trying to get a visa for ELEAGUE or sorting a visa for the upcoming ESL One Cologne Major qualifiers taking place in Katowice, Poland. Seemingly the team chose the latter.

In a tweet from the ELEAGUE account, tournament organisers confirmed that TyLoo would not be competing in the competition, and will be replaced by American team Selfless Gaming. Selfless will take TyLoo’s slot in Group B and will play at the Turner Studios next week against the likes of Ninjas in Pyjamas, G2 eSports and OpTic Gaming.

The first week of ELEAGUE kicked off yesterday and was widely praised by the eSports community for its top class broadcast quality and production value. The set for the broadcast is one of the most advanced ever seen in eSports, and when combined with the top tier broadcast talent makes for a great show. The action continues all this week on the ELEAGUE Twitch channel.
