Ubisoft confirms Steep, Just Dance and Rayman Legends for Nintendo Switch

Ubisoft has announced its Switch line-up, following Nintendo’s reveal conference earlier today. The publisher has announced that Just Dance 2017, Rayman Legends and Steep will all be coming to Nintendo’s new console.

Just Dance is not a surprise, since Ubisoft announced it at E3 2016, back when the console was still known as the NX. But the publisher has detailed some exclusive content for Switch players, such as an exclusive track (How Deep Is Your Love by Calvin Harris & Disciples) and three months of free access to Just Dance Unlimited, the title’s dance-on-demand subscription streaming service.” The press release adds that Just Dance 2017 will be playable with up to six players with the Switch’s Joy-Con controllers. Since only two of those come in the box, gamers will have to buy some extra controllers – and they’re not exactly cheap. Just Dance 2017 will be ready to launch alongside the console, on March 3rd.

Meanwhile, Rayman Legends will release on Switch in its upgraded, Definitive Edition, form. It apparently features all the game’s traditional features, such as Kung Foot, plus some brand-new surprises” – but Ubisoft didn’t detail what surprises exactly though.

Ubisoft’s latest new IP Steep will also launch on Switch but the publisher didn’t announce any special content for this version.

Launch dates for Rayman Legends Definitive Edition and Steep have not been revealed yet. More titles are to be expected, Ubisoft’s French studios MD Xavier Poix said: Ubisoft is bringing Just Dance 2017, Rayman Legends Definitive Edition and Steep to the Nintendo Switch. We’re proud to be working closely with Nintendo on this new console, making sure players can enjoy great games on a device that shares the same philosophy as these games: great accessibility and the ability to bring people together”

These three games are just the beginning; we will share more about other exciting projects for Nintendo Switch at a later date.”

Nintendo confirmed aMarch 3rd release date for the Nintendo Switch during its conference. The console will cost 280 at most retailers. The highly-awaited The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has also been confirmed as a launch title and will have both a Special and a Master edition. Mario, Skyrim and FIFA will also be availableon the Switch.
