UBISOFT: Eight Wii U games announced

Ubisoft has announced it will release eight Wii U games over a six month period at its E3 press conference today.

The publisher has unveiled a string of software from casual favourites Just Dance and Rabbids to core smash hits such as Assassin’s Creed and new IP ZombiU.

Ubisoft is known for backing new hardware from launch. It recently backed Vita with five launch games.

The Wii U line-up will feature a special version of Just Dance 4, plus Assassin’s Creed III, Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth, Rabbids Land, Rayman Legends, Sports Connection and Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013.

All of these games will make use of Wii U’s touch screen tablet controller. But Ubisoft is also developing an entirely new IP especially for Nintendo’s new home console.

ZombiU is developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, the team behind From Dust, Beyond Good and Evil and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.

The survival-thriller puts players in the middle of a modern-day London, where an outbreak has infected the population and turning them into zombies. One player can use the Wii U Gamepad to move zombies around the map to hinder the first player.
