UMG to host $75,000 Halo event

UMG has announced a new $75,000 Halo competition due to take place in Florida this May.

The HCS Daytona by UMG tournament will take place at the Ocean Center Arena in Daytona Beach between May 12th and 14th, with $75,000 up for grabs in the main competition. To compliment this there will also be a $5,000 free for all tournament taking place over the same weekend.

The event is an open competition, meaning anyone can buy a pass to compete. A team pass for four players will set you back $199.

The news comes just days after the conclusion of the Halo World Championships, which became the most watched Halo tournament ever after a big partnership with Twitter. Chances are the UMG event won’t quite hit those heights but it does seem like there is more interesting in competitive Halo than ever before.
