Minute Media launch esports platform DBLTAP

Minute Media has unveiled a new esports platform, DBLTAP, which is coming out of beta after a number of months of iterative design.

The platform will focus on esports video and editorial content, and it’ll have exclusive access to several events and teams due to strategic partnerships. These partnerships include many of the big events brands like ESL, ELEAGUE and Dreamhack, but also include teams like Fnatic and others.

In a canned statement, Minute Media’s senior vice president of strategic partnerships said: “As with our other platforms, DBLTAP will bring the world of esports to the fans in a way that only Minute Media can. With a focus on the narrative around the players and teams, and with our partnerships with some of the largest names in the industry, no one else can offer on-the-ground coverage to tournaments around the world and fan-centric authenticity to this extent. DBLTAP gives esports fans the next best experience to actually attending themselves. Our vision is to bring the fans closer to esports which we believe will help grow the broader industry overall.”

They’re putting out a lot of exclusive content already, with some 50-60 pieces of content a day going live on the site. Minute Media have experience in the space as the company behind both an American sports website and a football focused outlet, too.
