US: Three Silent Hill games confirmed for March

Konami has announced US release dates for its trio of new Silent Hill releases, including Vita exclusive Book of Memories.

This game will arrive on March 27th, boasting a fresh storyline and a co-op mode – a first for the survival horror series.

But before the handheld title hits shelves, Silent Hill Downpour and Silent Hill HD Collection will be released on Xbox 360 and PS3. The latter is due on March 6th and the former on March 13th.

UK release dates have not yet been confirmed.

HD Collection includes re-mastered versions of PS2 games Silent Hill 2 and 3, both of which will boast updated graphics and voiceovers.

Downpour is the latest home console release in Konami’s long-running survival horror franchise, featuring 3D TV compatibility on PS3 and new protagonist Murphy Pendleton, a prisoner who gets stranded in the town of Silent Hill after his police escort van crashes.

The Silent Hill franchise has been around since 1999 when the first PSone game was released.
