Ustwo’s iOS hit Whale Trail has had 126,089 downloads to date since its release in October, co-founder Matt Miller has revealed.

Mills also announced via twitter that the studio has made £113,053 from downloads this year, which also include apps Nursery Rhymes and Papercut.

In a break down of sales, Miller said Whale Trail has made 39 per cent, 48,736, of its total downloads from customers in the United States, whislst 19 per cent, 23,987, of the downloads were made made in the United Kingdom.

Ustwo told Develop in a new feature that the studio invested £150,000 and 4,500 man-hours into making Whale Trail, which has proved a success on the App Store both critically and commercially.

Miller has admitted that whilst he would like the game to do well, if it isn’t a success financially, the studio “would be fine with that”.
