Developers to chronicle efforts to get Team Fortress 2 running in headsets

Valve to give GDC talks on Virtual Reality

Newly announced GDC talks will feature Valve employees detailing their work in getting Team Fortress 2 running on virtual reality headsets.

Another talk by Valve’s Michael Abrash will outline the challenges for virtual reality hardware and possible solutions.

Valve has been making waves with its plans for hardware, which range from PCs for the living room to wearable computers with biometric feedback.

The lecture on TF2 and Virtual reality will be given by Valve programmer Joe Ludwig, and is titled "What We Learned Porting Team Fortress 2 to Virtual Reality".

Abrash’s talk is entitled "Why Virtual Reality is Hard (And Where it Might be Going)," and will take a good look at how human vision is sensitive to discrepancy between virtual reality and the real world.
