Jade Raymond has pulled the curtain back on a studio that seems destined to grab the headlines for at least the next ten years – Ubisoft Toronto.
As explained in the video below, Toronto already has a core team of 83 staff working on at least one project – the first given the provisional title Splinter Cell 6.
Raymond, who last year was promoted as the studio’s managing director, says her workforce is growing ahead of schedule.
800 skilled workers will eventually inhabit the mega-studio, with Ubisoft pumping over $473 million in the new venture.
Ubisoft Toronto was established with the help of a massive investment from the Ontario government. The dev cluster is beginning to emerge as a world-leading region for the game development industry.
