South African studio relocates to Mauritius to work on Genital Jousting and other projects

VIDEO: Why Broforce dev moved its entire team to a tropical island

Free Lives, the developer behind indie hit, Broforce has moved its entire team to a remote island. Yes, you read that correctly.

In what can only be described as the cushiest office relocation ever seen, the South African games developer has set up shop in a villa in Mauritius where the team – plus a number of freelancers – will spend the next three months experimenting with new game projects.

The venture, spotted by Videogamer, has been dubbed by creative director Evan Greenwood as ‘Game Jam Island’ and the team has begun a video series to document its adventures.
