Proposals for video game voice actors to strike have met with major support from members of SAG-AFTRA.

The Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists announced it wasvoting on whether or not to strikelast month. The referendum has been a resounding success” with 96.52 per cent of members voting in favour of striking.

The issue at hand is the impasse reached while negotiating for new pay deals with publishers. Back-end bonuses has proven to be a particularly hotly-contested point: this would see video game voice actors receive residual payments based on the money made by triple-A titles.
