Writer's Guild of Great Britain hopes to answer that question with Develop-judged prize - nominations close this week

Who is the UK’s best games writer?

The Writer’s Guild of Great Britain will once again name the UK’s best games writer – and there are still a few days left to lobby.

Britain’s best game writers will be honoured by the award. And the prize, which this year is once again to be judged with input from the Develop team, is the only award of its type for UK writers.

Nominated writer(s) must be British or work in Britain. To be eligible the nominated game must have been first released, during the period 1st June 2009 to 31st May 2010 inclusive. All nominees will be asked to supply a copy of the nominated script and supporting material.

But if you want to be considered for nomination, or lobby for a colleague, then hurry – the Guild is only accepting suggestions until the end of this week.

That’s this Friday, August 27th. Also known as TOMORROW.

To make a suggestion, simply email susan@writersguild.org.uk.

The shortlist will be announced at the start of October, and the winner named on the evening of November 21st at the Writer’s Guild award ceremony in London.
