Wooga opens first overseas office in Japan

Social games company Wooga has opened a brand new office in Tokyo, Japan.

The branch is the first overseas office for the German firm and has been opened to strengthen established partnerships in Japan, according to Gamasutra.

The new Wooga outpost will also be tasked with forming new partnerships with local studios, with the company confident that there is plenty of business to be had in the country.

Wooga has also hired Jun Otsuka to head up operations in its new Japanese office. Otsuka has worked on the games industry for 12 years, most recently at Japanese giant LINE.
