Gas Powered Games and Forterra Systems opt for AI engine

xaitment secures two new customers

Gas Powered Games and Forterra Systems have signed up to use German studio xaitment’s BrainPack AI engine bundle.

The BrainPack, which is built on xaitFramework 2.5, provides studios undertaking the early stages of a game’s development with a suite of AI tools to implement artificial intelligence, especially in the areas of advanced AI, decision-making and behaviors.

“It’s really great to see the incredible new AI tools that xaitment has been working on," revealed Chris Taylor, CEO and founder of Gas Powered Games, which created Dungeon Siege and Supreme Commander.

"It’s the next logical step in the constantly evolving world of game development. With these tools, developers can save development energy, and spend it more wisely making games even more fun and polished. Today, we need these kinds of tools to lower cost and increase quality.”

Valete Hopkins, program manager of serious gaming and virtual world specialist Forterra Systems added: “xaitment provides an outstanding value to Forterra Olive developers who require realistic NPC AI. This technology will allow Forterra partners to rapidly create and deploy virtual worlds for a wide variety of applications, particularly for large-scale training and collaboration environments."

xaitment’s modular technology is available as either separate elements or an entire package.
