Zoo is pleased with new keeper

Zoo Games has extinguished any fears that the announcement of its second new parent company in two months may disrupt the company’s future prospects.

As reported on MCVUK.com last week, it looks highly likely that Zoo’s current parent GreenScreen Interactive will be purchased by Los Angeles-based Mandalay Media.

GreenScreen purchased Zoo Digital last month, and immediately combined it with Destination Software to create label Zoo Games.

Zoo chairman Ian Stewart told MCV that, far from causing confusion, the recent merry-go-round of parent firms may actually benefit the label’s prospects – and quicken its growth.

Providing the acquisition goes through this should be seen as an opportunity to accelerate the formation of Zoo Games,” said Stewart.

He added the move may give Zoo a global presence.
He commented:

When you look at the principles involved in Mandalay Media and GreenScreen Interactive you see that we are set for a very exciting future as a global player in digital content and distribution.”
